A competency-based short course designed to equip youth with disabilities with practical digital accessibility skills aligned to KS 2952, Kenya’s ICT Accessibility Standard. The training will introduce participants to accessible ICT principles, digital accessibility testing, inclusive digital content, assistive technology use, and accessibility compliance. The pilot is intended to prepare youth for employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and future roles as Digital Accessibility Champions within Kenya’s growing accessibility ecosystem. The program will also explore Training of Trainers pathways for selected youth with disabilities who demonstrate strong aptitude and leadership potential.

18–40 years
Location / Counties:
Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu, Embu, Kilifi, and Turkana counties
Gender Requirements:
Young women with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Young men with disabilities are also eligible.
Education or Skill Requirements:
No formal education requirements. Applicants must have an existing business or an intention to start one.
Other requirements:
• Interest in digital skills, ICT, accessibility, assistive technology, or inclusive technology
• Basic digital literacy preferred, but not mandatory
• Commitment to participate in the full training cycle and related mentorship activities
