ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Program is designed to bridge the digital divide facing marginalized young women by equipping them with digital, life, and employability skills needed to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.

The program focuses on young women living in underserved communities, including informal settlements, rural areas, registered refugees, and persons with disabilities. Many of these young women face barriers such as limited access to quality digital training, lack of digital devices, and few opportunities for work‑based learning. SisTech addresses these challenges through structured digital skills training, access to digital tools, and pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.

Participants receive intermediate digital literacy training delivered through girls‑only centers, complemented by life skills coaching, mentorship, and labour market integration support. The program also introduces innovative approaches to digital access, including community‑based digital hubs and a revolving fund that supports affordable computer ownership.

The SisTech Program promotes social inclusion, confidence‑building, and economic empowerment, while creating safe learning spaces that enable young women to develop skills, build networks, and pursue dignified work opportunities.
