About the Program
This program responds to pressing challenges in the skilling sector. It is currently implementing a six-month, fully funded scholarship program aimed at preparing a total of 1,100 skilled problem-solvers in Kiambu County by 2026.
The program is advancing data-driven skilling to address evidence-based skills gaps among two key youth segments: those aged 12–17, who are supported to build future-ready skills while improving academic outcomes, in line with proven curriculum and methodology; and youth aged 18 and above, who are equipped with critical employability skills and supported to either transition into the job market or launch entrepreneurial ventures.
The program commenced in 2025 and will run through 2027.
Who qualifies?
The program is open to young women and men (aged 18-35 years) with a passion for success in Kiambu County. Young women are encouraged to apply.

Implementing Partner
Soma Siri Afrika (SSA) is a local, youth-led organization founded and managed by a young woman. It is a pioneering, Afrocentric, talent-driven innovation incubator dedicated to nurturing the potential of children and youth aged 4 to 24 with a firm belief that every individual possesses innate talents and gifts which, when supported within the right environment, can be fully developed. By cultivating inherent abilities, Soma Siri Afrika aims to foster a problem-solving mindset.
