About the Program

The project aims to improve literacy and numeracy among learners in Kwale County, strengthen technical skills for out-of-school youth in Vanga ward, and promote civic engagement among young people.

It is delivered through school-based sessions, weekly tech-enabled learning camps, teacher training on Nyansapo AI, learner assessments, and community engagement activities. Youth skills development includes capacity building, recruitment, and 1.5-year cohort training at the GGI digital hub, along with gender and safeguarding training.

The program began in 2024 and will continue until 2026.


Who qualifies?
The program is open to young women and men (aged 18-35 years) with a passion for success in Kwale County. Young women are encouraged to apply.

Implementing Partner
G for Girls Initiative is a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) based in Vanga ward, Lunga  Lunga Sub-county, Kwale County, Kenya. It’s a local Youth led organization; led and managed by a young woman. With over four years of experience in driving gender change to improve lives through advocacy for girls’ education. The organization aims to foster safe spaces for girls through mentorship, advocacy and provision of technical skills.
